Old was great new was just ok
The show was pretty good overall. We were right up in the front with excellent seats to see it all. To me, it was a poor mix of music. Not really Rock music...not even close. More like bluesy Country. Everyone almost to the very front row sat down every time he played his new stuff. The entire place was on its feet screaming and yelling when he played an old favorite. You would sit, stand up, and scream, then sit again, then sit again, jump up and down, and scream again. The place was fully magical in the middle of his old stuff. The last few songs were all old songs and pretty much brought the house down. It was so loud in the intimate Warfield at the end. The place was off the hook. I have never seen so many people cheering so loudly as these people were at the end. There was no standing ovation from Peyton Ruddy. That was a bit of a letdown as well.
